Nancy O'Dell's initial work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a anchor of the morning news and as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. Her reporting of the ineffective responses of police officers to DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. She then joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. Alongside her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She co-hosted several of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
